Homemade Crunchy Mithai | Kurma
Crunchy mithai/kurma is made by mixing all the ingredients and forming into a dough ball. It is rolled thinly, then cut into strips, shallow-fried, then coated in a delicious sugar syrup. Guyanese like myself refer to this snack as “mithai”, meanwhile Trini’s call this snack “kurma”. This can be found in local West Indian bakeries or stores.
